This year has been a rollercoaster of change.
We’ve seen a lot of hardship, but through these struggles we have seen some things we can be grateful for as well. Especially in the world of independent pharmacy, everyone has worked diligently to continue protecting their communities and providing an invaluable service.
This Thanksgiving, we can all remember some things to be thankful for:
Especially this year, we should all remember to not take our health for granted. The wellbeing of ourselves and our loved ones is something to be extremely thankful for this Thanksgiving and every day.
This year has shined a spotlight on the unsung heroes of community pharmacy. Pharmacists have stepped up to the plate in multiple ways – from offering COVID-19 testing to compounding hand sanitizer to safely getting patients the medications they need. Pharmacists have also demonstrated why they deserve to be recognized as providers and shown the true value of what they can bring to the table.
A silver lining of the changes thrust upon pharmacies during this pandemic is the emergence of new business opportunities. Services like curbside, delivery, drive-through, and immunizations already existed in pharmacy but increased in prevalence as many stores started adopting and growing these practices. It’s a great way to diversify your pharmacy and offer more for your patients while ultimately bringing in more revenue.
You and your team have worked hard and sacrificed so much during this time. Having a passionate, helpful team of coworkers in your pharmacy is definitely another thing to be thankful for. Let them know you appreciate them!
Last but not least, you should be proud of the impact you have had on your community. Your hard work does not go unnoticed. You may not even realize how many times you have touched another person’s life and made a real difference in your community.
Especially this year, you have put in so much dedication and passion into the work you do. Thank you.
Happy Thanksgiving from the PioneerRx Team. Stay safe and eat lots of food!
