PioneerRx Pharmacy is the first pharmacy to create a vaccination center in Arkansas

Kavanaugh Pharmacy in Little Rock, AR is the first pharmacy in the state to open a COVID-19 vaccination center and start immunizing healthcare workers. These include healthcare workers who are not currently being offered the vaccine through their workplace, including some dental clinics, eye clinics, pediatric clinics, dermatology offices, and home healthcare workers. As the Department of Health authorizes other groups of people to get the vaccine, the center will begin accommodating those as well.

Emergency Preparedness Guidance - COVID-19 Vaccines

The National Council for Prescription Drug Programs issued guidance on preparation for administering the COVID-19 vaccine. The guidance includes considerations such as quantity dispensed, days supply, and claim submissions. It also includes use case examples. Although the vaccine will be free, pharmacists are allowed to charge a vaccine administration fee. Read the full guidance below for more information.
